to-the-point: Canadian Solar ships 10 MW of bifacial modules to Oregon


November 16 (Solar) – Canadian Solar Inc (NASDAQ:CSIQ) on Wednesday said it has supplied 10 MW of bifacial photovoltaic (PV) modules for four projects in Oregon.

The BiKu CS3U-PB-AG modules will power four solar parks near Portland, owned by solar solutions provider Neighborhood Power. Canadian Solar noted that this is the “first significant” shipment of its bifacial PV modules into the US.

According to the press release, the particular type of modules combine bifacial and Ku (dual cell) technologies and are capable of reaching up to 370 MW on the front site. They come with a 30-year warranty.
