November 8 (Solar) – UK infrastructure investor John Laing Group Plc (LON:JLG) today announced it has reached financial close on the 174.9-MWp Finley solar project in New South Wales, Australia.
The particular project is 100%-owned by John Laing and developed by Esco Pacific, which now has a development capacity of nearly 500 MWp in Australia. The latter will provide asset management services to the solar farm during construction and operations, the announcement says.
The parties expect to have the plant switched on late next year.
John Laing noted that a few months back it closed the financing for another solar project in New South Wales, namely the 255-MWp Sunraysia scheme, which, according to the investor, is on-track to become the largest solar farm in the country.
