October 22 (Solar) – Innergex Renewable Energy Inc (TSE:INE) announced today it has closed the acquisition of a roughly 260-MW DC solar prospective project in the US.
Located in Brown County, Ohio state, the photovoltaic (PV) asset was bought from Open Road Renewables LLC and MAP Renewable Energy LLC for an undisclosed amount.
With the so-called Hillcrest project under its belt, Innergex increases its footprint in the US Midwest, president and CEO Michel Letellier said. The PV project has a service agreement for an interconnection to Duke Energy's Hillcrest substation, thus allowing a commercial operation date between 2020 and 2021.
Currently, Innergex is in talks to sell the facility's output through a power purchase agreement (PPA).
