October 19 (Solar) – Brazil's Ceara state government earlier this week launched a competitive process for the selection of a contractor for 45 MWp of solar distributed generation (DG) projects.
According to the state's Secretary of Water Resources document, the interested parties will elaborate feasibility studies, projects and technical studies for the use of areas of the 256-km Castanhao – RMF Adductor System.
The DG photovoltaic (PV) projects will have a maximum capacity of 5 MWp each. Of the overall combined capacity, 25 MWp will be deployed to supply Ceara's Water Resources Management Company (Cogerh), while the output of the remaining 20 MWp will be used by the state's Water and Sewage Company (Cagece).
The interested parties will have to submit their proposals by October 30. The announcement of the winners is scheduled for December 3, 2018, the government noted.
