October 17 (Solar) – NTT Facilities Inc, a subsidiary of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp (TYO:9432), said today it has finished works on a 14.25-MW solar power plant in Japan's Fukushima prefecture.
Construction of the Minamisoma Kawabusa Mega Solar Power Plant, as it is named, started in May 24, 2017. NTT Facilities Inc and Kitashiba Electric Co Ltd are the developers of the plant, the company said.
This photovoltaic (PV) power plant is currently the 82nd of its kind owned by NTT in the country. The facility has an expected annual energy production of some 15,900 MWh, enough to meet the consumption of some 4,400 local households, according to estimates by NTT.
