October 16 (Solar) – Trina Solar Ltd said today it has delivered 123 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules for a project in Ukraine developed by local energy group DTEK.
The particular facility is being built near Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, in the central part of the country. It will have a total capacity of 246 MW upon completion and will be able to generate some 280 million kWh of solar power per year. China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) is he engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor.
The solar park should be up and running in early 2019, with a plan to be hooked to the grid in March.
In June 2017, another Chinese firm, Jiangsu Seraphim Solar System Co Ltd, said it was supplying PV modules for the 246-MW project by DTEK in Dnepropetrovsk.
