October 11 (Solar) – Innergex Renewable Energy Inc (TSE:INE) announced on Wednesday it has advanced to the Final Award Group in Hawaii's competitive bidding process with two solar-plus-storage projects.
The company has presented to the Hawaiian Electric Companies a 30-MW solar and 120-MWh battery storage facility for Hawai'i island, as well as a 15-MW solar and 60-MWh battery storage facility for Maui island. Both projects are expected to commence commercial operation in 2022.
The company is now negotiating power purchase agreements (PPAs) for the projects, which will proceed to the permitting stage if the contracts are signed.
