to-the-point: Japan's NTT ready to build 2-MW PV plant in Aichi prefecture


September 10 (Solar) – Japanese firm NTT Facilities Inc today said it is getting ready to start construction of a 1.98-MW solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant in Aichi prefecture.

NTT Facilities, a subsidiary of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp (TYO:9432), said that construction works are scheduled to begin tomorrow, September 11, while the sale of power is expected to commence by late January 2019.

The F Seto II Solar Power Plant, as the project is named, will be located in Seto municipality. It is expected to produce some 2,460 MWh of electricity per year, enough to meet the demand of 683 local households, NTT noted.
