September 7 (Solar) – Spanish firm Ingeteam SA will deliver inverters for the 500-MWp Mula solar park project in Spain, touted as the largest photovoltaic (PV) facility in Europe.
The electrical engineering company said this week it has won a supply and installation contract for the project that calls for it to deliver and connect and commission 238 central PV inverters with 1,500-Vdc technology and 74 inverter stations and related medium-voltage equipment. The provision and installation of all low- and medium-voltage equipment for the solar park, such as LV/MV transformer, MV switchgear, LV switchboard and auxiliary services transformer, are also part of the deal.
Delivery of of the inverters has already commenced, Ingeteam said.
To be located in Murcia region, southeastern Spain, the Mula solar farm is scheduled for commissioning by end-2019. Its annual output of over 750 million kWh is estimated to be enough to supply 450,000 people.
Ingeteam noted that including the new contract it will have supplied 2 GW of inverters in Spain by end-2018.
