to-the-point: Conti Solar wins 35-MW EPC job in Rhode Island

September 5 (Solar) – US engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor Conti Solar said on Tuesday it has won a contract to build 35 MW of solar power plants in Rhode Island for Southern Sky Renewable Energy.

The full turnkey EPC deal covers a portfolio of five projects, including brownfield, landfill and greenfield photovoltaic (PV) facilities. The plants will be installed in the towns of Warwick, Cranston and Johnston in central Rhode Island.

The implementation of the projects will support Rhode Island’s goal of having 1 GW of clean energy capacity by 2020, noted Eric Millard, chief commercial officer of Conti Solar.
