August 9 (Solar) – Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Ltd (KREDL) has issued a tender for 200 MW of grid-connected solar projects in 10 talukas of the southwestern state.
The deadline for proposals is September 7, Mercom Capital reports.
The projects will be developed on a build-own-operate (BOO) basis and will have 18 months to be completed. The list of talukas includes Mundargi, Gajendragad, Lakshmeshwar, Savanur, Haveri, Kushtagi, Maski, Kuragodu, and Gurmatkal and Hanur.
According to the tender regulations, a single participant can bid for the entire tendered capacity. Successful developers will be awarded 25-year power purchase agreements with the Bangalore Electricity Supply Co (BESCOM).
In December 2017, KREDL launched a tender for 860 MW of grid-connected solar projects across 43 talukas and signed PPAs for a total of 640 MW.
