JIB said that solar power generation will cover 75% of the consumption of its branches, offices and administrations in Amman, Zarqa, Madaba and Balqa and 100% of the consumption of 38 branches and offices in addition to its head office.
The JOD-1.4-million (USD 2m/EUR 1.7m) plant took about nine months to build. According to the announcement, the cost recovery period of the plant is estimated to be about one and a half years.
