July 17 (Solar) – The water authority for the Parisian Region of France, Syndicat des Eaux d'Ile-de-France (SEDIF), has launched a tender for the supply and installation of solar panels at the Choisy-le-Roi water treatment plant.
The value of the contract is estimated at EUR 500,000 (USD 585,500) and the deadline for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is September 28, according to a notice in the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) of the EU. Details on the solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity targeted by SEDIF were not disclosed.
The solar systems will be installed as part of a renovation project for the decantation unit of the Choisy-le-Roi plant.
France's solar capacity grew by 246 MW in the first quarter of 2018, bringing cumulative grid-connected total to 8,299 MW.
