June 29 (Solar) – Spanish consulting and engineering firm Enertis announced on Thursday it will oversee the construction of an 8.06-MW solar project in Colombia developed by local power company Celsia SA (CLB:CELSIA).
The photovoltaic (PV) plant will be constructed in the department of Bolivar. It is the second utility-scale project developed by Celsia in the country and also the second project on which the two companies are working together.
Enertis will verify the material and equipment supplies for the plant and supervise the engineering, electric, civil, health and security aspects during the construction and commissioning of the solar plant.
Enertis has participated in more than 20 different projects in Colombia. Currently, the country has some 5 GW of solar and wind projects under development, the company noted.
