Sonnedix achieves fin close for 47-MW solar project in Japan

June 21 (Solar) – The Japanese operating partner of independent solar power producer Sonnedix Power Holdings Ltd said today it has reached financial close for the 46.6-MW Tono solar photovoltaic (PV) project.

Specifically, Sonnedix Japan KK has closed a JPY-13.9-billion (USD 126m/EUR 109m) non-recourse debt facility with MUFG Bank Ltd for the particular project, which was acquired in June 2017.

The company now has over 200 MW of capacity under construction globally. Solely in Japan, Sonnedix has 169 MW in operation or under construction and is on track to switch on more than 400 MW there in the next few years.

NEC Networks & System Integration Corporation has already initiated construction work on the Tono facility, which should be up and running in early 2020.
